Larry Mboga serves as an at-large member of the Eau Claire City Council, first elected in 2022 and re-elected in April 2025. Known for his strong community support, he advocates for youth development, equity, and inclusive policymaking while serving on the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Commission, the Loan Administration Board, and the Tourism and Cultural Arts Grant Program Committee. His leadership is shaped by his immigrant background and decades of grassroots involvement with local youth and sports.​

He will be donating the money he raises during his time in the dunk tank to The Community Table. Since 1993, The Community Table in Eau Claire has provided free daily meals, offering nutritious food in a safe and welcoming space for anyone in need. As the Chippewa Valley’s only meal service open every day of the year, it relies on volunteers, donors, and community partners to serve thousands annually. Beyond meals, it provides hygiene items, books, pantry boxes, and special programs like backpacks, bus passes, and “Birthday In A Bag,” while raising awareness of hunger and supporting local agencies in building self-reliance.
