Turn Turn Turn
10:30am–12:00pm

Turn Turn Turn is a trio who bonded over their mutual love of close harmony 60s and 70s country, folk, and pop music and formed an original Americana band. To create their distinctive sound, the band “turns” to the distant past of early American recorded music, “turns” again to that renaissance of the 1960s and 1970s, and finally “turns” again to the present looking forward.

Members Adam Levy (guitar, vocals), Savannah Smith (guitar, vocals) and Barb Brynstad (bass, vocals) are all mainstays of the Minnesota music scene and together craft an infectious, pop-infused Americana.

Smith is also an Eau Claire local and owner of Seven Suns Vintage on S. Barstow St. Be sure to stop by her space while enjoying the festival!
12:30–2:00pm
Being a river town with an outsized musical scene, you might think Eau Claire is practically a northern version of “N’Awlins”. So where are all the Brass Bands? Trombonist Tom Carlson set out to rectify the situation by starting this band with some cream-of-the-crop horn and percussion players. Permanent members include Jennifer Hazen (vocals), Phil Huebner (sousaphone), Jay Collins (bari), Levi Felling & John LeBrun (skins), Stuart Wallace & Pat Hull (high end), and Jeff Reitz (reeds). Our musical roots are definitely from the Crescent City, but don’t look for run-of-the-mill Dixieland here. Funky R&B, afro, and mambo grooves feature prominently in our repertoire. Think Dirty Dozen, Trombone Shorty, Rebirth, and Youngblood.

The Weapons have been assembled in full force from all over the Chippewa Valley and beyond, performing for the Eau Claire Jazz Festival, The Volume One Sounds Like Summer concert series as well as countless private engagements, fundraisers and local summer festivals. Check out our concert schedule on Facebook and get in on the groove.
