

Stephanie Hirsch has served as Eau Claire’s city manager since April 2022, becoming the first woman to hold the position. She previously spent 16 years in municipal leadership in Somerville, Massachusetts, where she managed city departments, advanced data-driven initiatives, and served on the city council. Hirsch earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and began her career in education in Philadelphia and rural Georgia, experiences that shaped her commitment to improving government service delivery. Since returning to Eau Claire in 2020, she has worked in county human services and now leads city operations, budgeting, and strategic planning to support the community’s growth and priorities.

She will be donating the money she raises during her time in the dunk tank to Eau Claire Firefighters Community Charity. The Eau Claire Firefighters Community Charity is a nonprofit organization made up of local firefighters dedicated to serving the community beyond emergency response. Through fundraising events, volunteer efforts, and direct support, the charity provides financial assistance to individuals and families in need, contributes to local causes, and fosters strong community connections. Their work reflects a commitment to compassion, solidarity, and improving the well-being of Eau Claire residents.
